HVAC licenses fall under the “Class A & B Air Conditioning” and “Air Conditioning Service” occupation and class codes, and licenses are issued either by registration or by certification. In the State of Florida, candidates who take a local HVAC competency exam can become registered but are only able to practice in their locale.
